CarneySweeney has secured planning approval for the mixed-use redevelopment of the old Royal Mail depot site in Tenby for 34 apartments, and commercial space.
The prominent, old depot site has lain vacant for many years. The proposal successfully navigates the site's sensitive location between St John's Church and Deep Park Baptist Church, and opposite the historic Town Walls.
On behalf of Telereal Trilium, Carney Sweeney led the project team, including Roberts Limbrick Architects, through complex negotiations with the conservation department to deliver a five-storey design that is characteristic of Tenby, and responds to nearby heritage assets and the wider conservation area.
The redevelopment scheme will deliver much needed homes on site and will be a proud addition to Tenby town centre.
“We are really pleased with the planning decision to improve the former Royal Mail delivery depot site. Due to its positioning within the town, the sympathetic and appropriate design-led scheme will hugely benefit the area” - Annabelle Stannard, Telereal Trillium
